Junior Olympic Program

• Any team registered / sanctioned by their local ASA commissioner is eligible to participate in this ASA National Qualifier.
• All Teams must complete and return with their full payment the Metro Cincinnati Tournament Entry Form. (see below for a link to this form.)

• The highest finishing team without a berth to the 14U Class "A" USA/ASA National Championships will be awarded the berth.
• All paperwork submitted for this event will be held and forwarded to the National Championship Tournament Director. 
• The team that earns the berth must declare their intentions prior to leaving the complex and must be prepared to leave the entry fee to the National Championships.
• This tournament will advance the berth winner to Marietta, Georgia the week of July 27 - August 2, 2009.

• Four game guarantee, weather permitting.
  • Two pool play games (boxed bracket format)

• Entry fee is $350 and checks are to be made payable to Metro Cincinnati JO ASA and mailed to 6845 Colerain Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45239

• All teams must provide at check-in the following items before being eligible to participate or take the field:
  • National Championship Tournament Entry Form (signed by your local commissioner.)
  • Official Championship Roster – Liability Waiver (completed by each player / parent and signed and redlined by your commissioner.)
  • Player photo ID’s (these will be held at check-in until your tournament play is complete.)
  • Proof of Team / Individual Insurance. A photocopy of the policy will be kept by the tournament host.
• Please note – A $5.00 deposit will be required at check-in in the event you leave your paperwork behind. It shall be your responsibility to retrieve your paperwork from tournament headquarters when you have finished playing at which time your $5 will be returned. If you do not pick-up your paperwork, it will be sent within 5 working days to the first address supplied on the application.

•  All players participating in National Championship play will be required to ‘sign-in’ with proper photo ID's prior to their first scheduled game.

• Once your registration / entry form has been received, hotel / motel information will be available to you and your team. Or you can check the web site for specific host hotel information for each event.

• Per ASA Code - Article 513, L:
  • Previously Qualified - Junior Olympic Teams which have previously qualified for a National Championship Final may compete in other National Qualifiers.  If a previously qualified team wins another berth from a National Qualifier, the highest finishing team without a berth will qualify.

• All games will be played following the rules of the 2009 ASA Rulebook.
• Pool Play will have a 1 hour and 30 minute time limit.
• Bracket play will have a 1 hour and 40 minute time limit.

• Withdrawals
  • A team must notify the National Qualifier tournament director within two days of receiving a berth to a National Championship Finals if the team is required to withdraw from the national qualifier in accordance with this Code.  The tournament director shall refund the team's entry fee if notice is received within two days and the bracket has not yet been drawn.
• Any team that withdraws for any other reason, must do so a minimum of two weeks prior to this event.  A $50 service fee will be deducted from the original entry. 
• Any team withdrawing after the schedules have been posted will not be eligible for a refund.

•  Once your team has registered, all further communications will be done via email.
• Email Addresses - Please make sure you are providing one if not two – valid / legible email addresses for communication purposes.

• All additional information will be made available on this site, (game times, brackets, etc.)
• An email will be sent (to all email addresses you have provided) once the schedules have been posted.
